Ganpati Bappa Morya..

Yesterday I visited the famous Ichhapoorti Ganesh at Fort Mumbai. Though our plan got delayed for over an hour, we still managed to reach there on time for the evening aarti. This one is really famous in Mumbai- for the number of Ganesha idols in display- over 60 of them collected from various states of India, and a few brought from Foreign Countries. There were Idols from Britain, China, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Brunei etc.

Getting into this new complex world
Its been a dream since childhood to be a 'wolf of wall street'(not literally!). It took me soo many years to put my first few steps- to get a feeling of the things around and to get started with actual trading. Now I'm enjoying the process. Sort of getting hooked up to it. Hope I'll do more good that bad.

Mumbai Railways
Scrambling through the pages I found this beautifully documented movie on Mumbai railways which boasts to be the busiest railways system in the world. Around 1500 trains ply in the route daily and it caters to over 2.5 billion travelers annually. During the peak hours a single train with 12 coaches carry almost 5000 passengers(density of 16 persons/square meter!).
Something you didnt know about exercises
It doesn't matter how long you exercise if your body isn't responsive enough to show the results- its all in the genes. But there's a good news. You don't actually need to spend hours in the gym to keep yourself fit. Simple exercises in small bursts lasting 3 minutes per week can do wonders if routinely followed. Plus make sure you keep moving all day alone- don't go idle. Keeping these little things in mind will take you a long way towards a healthy mind and body.

A small Exercise
Select one of the ten positive emotions and reflect on the people and situations that serve as springboards of this pleasant state for you. Then, pull together a personalized set of objects and mementos that create for you a heartfelt connection to this one emotion. Assemble these into a portfolio, a physical collection that you build as a shrine to this one positive emotion. Your portfolio might contain photos, letters, songs, quotes, or objects that carry deep personal meaning for you. Get concrete here. Your goal is to create a new fusion of personal artifacts, personalized triggers that revive your heart with positivity each time you engage with them. You might store your portfolio in a simple file folder or box. If it appeals to you, you might create a small scrapbook or a new folder of images on your smart phone. Don’t rush the process. Savor it and enjoy. Others have found this activity to be deeply rewarding and uplifting. Don’t miss out! Once you’ve created your own personalized Positivity Portfolio, reflect on the process. Did making it spark any positive emotions in you? If you slow down and mindfully engage with the artifacts in your portfolio, can you generate the targeted emotion?
And I've chosen 'Gratitude'.
The Form of our Life

Just like in Cricket, we too have our highs and lows in life. More often than not, we too feel that when things are going right- they are going great; and once things start going wrong- everything seems to go wrong. Whether we accept it or not- that's how life is and that's how its been for the whole humanity as well.
