A Day of Unexpected Twists: Embracing Flexibility and Enjoyment

A Morning of Adaptation and Surprise

The week had been taxing, yet my resolve to maintain a healthy lifestyle prompted me to rise early for the gym. However, life had other plans. Upon arrival, I found the gym closed, a slight derailment in my routine. Instead of succumbing to frustration, I embraced this twist and headed to my favorite jogger's park. There, amidst nature, I engaged in a fulfilling two-hour session of walking and cross-training. The added joy was spending this time with my pet dog, an unanticipated yet delightful change to my usual routine.
Reconnecting with Roots and Old Friends
Later, I visited the Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 with my parents. These moments of spiritual reflection are rare but deeply cherished in my hectic life. The visit turned more memorable when I unexpectedly ran into Unni uncle and his family. Adding to the day's surprises, I also crossed paths with two old schoolmates, Manjusha and Neetu, evoking a rush of nostalgic memories.
Technological Delight and Evening Celebrations
After returning home, I was greeted by the arrival of my eagerly awaited Amazon order - the Bose earphones. Transitioning from OnePlus Buds Pro to these was an experience in itself. The exceptional quality justified the price, making it a worthwhile investment for someone who appreciates good sound technology. The evening was dedicated to socializing as I attended Kabani's birthday party. These social gatherings, though exhausting, bring a sense of community and joy that is essential for a balanced life.
Wrapping Up a Fulfilling Day

Returning home around 11:30 PM, I reflected on the day's events. From unexpected changes in my fitness routine to heartwarming encounters and indulging in new technology, the day was a reminder of life's unpredictability. It reinforced the importance of being adaptable and finding joy in both small and significant moments.

Rediscovering Fitness and Embracing New Challenges

My day started off on a good note, and I joined a gym after about 12 years.
Although I was hesitant in the morning, stepping into the gym felt like rekindling an old friendship. There's something about the familiar scent of the gym, the rhythmic sound of weights clinking, and the collective energy of people working towards their goals that's invigorating. This return marks a significant step in my journey towards full fitness. I envision myself, in some months, having achieved an athletic physique, a testament to my dedication and hard work.

Then, my routine shifted back to the familiar realms of office and family life. The most unexpected news came from work. I was informed that I'll be deputed to the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) Anti-Corruption Bureau. Truthfully, I had mixed feelings about this. On one hand, it's an opportunity to contribute to something significant, to be part of a larger cause against corruption. On the other, it's a path I hadn't anticipated, laden with challenges and responsibilities.
Despite my initial reluctance, I am now looking forward to this new role. Life, I've learned, is about embracing the unexpected. Whether it's revisiting an old passion like fitness or navigating uncharted professional waters, each experience is a step towards growth.

The day took a joyful turn as we celebrated not just one, but two birthdays in our branch. It was Anya's mother, Vinita's birthday, a special occasion that we marked with not one but two birthday cakes. We also celebrated the other Vinita mam’s birthday, which we had missed earlier. The highlight was the red velvet cake, which was exceptionally delightful. These moments of togetherness and celebration add a unique warmth to life, reminding us of the importance of togetherness and the joy of small gatherings.
As I reflect on today, I realize it's a microcosm of life's unpredictable nature. We plan, we anticipate, but often, we find ourselves on paths we never imagined. And perhaps, that's the beauty of it. Each day brings its own surprises, challenges, and opportunities for growth. I'm learning to welcome them all with open arms.

A Cautionary Tale of Market Whims: My Trade with SBI

In the riveting world of trading, we often find ourselves at the mercy of market trends, sometimes sailing with the winds, sometimes against. This week's adventure into the domain of stock trading serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of the markets. My journey with the State Bank of India (SBI) shares is a tale of expectations turned awry.
With meticulous analysis, I entered a short position on SBI, firmly believing that the stock would retreat to the levels of 570-580. The market, however, had a different narrative in store. When SBI shares touched 620, intuition nudged me to square off, yet I held on, convinced by the overbought signals that a downturn was imminent. This decision led me down a path where every tick of the clock was a step toward an unfavorable outcome.

The shares soared past the 645-650 mark, and I found myself staring into the abyss of substantial losses. In stark contrast stood my hedges, which, while profitable, seemed minuscule against the backdrop of my losses. There remains a flicker of hope for a market reversal on Monday, akin to a previous Euro short position that eventually turned favorable. Yet, the sting of disappointment lingers, a reminder of the importance of stringent risk management and the painful lesson of not adhering to my own stop-loss strategies.
As I share this account, it's not just a recount of a trade gone sour, but a reflection on the importance of discipline and the ever-present need to evolve our strategies in the face of market adversity. This experience, though bitter, is an invaluable addition to my trading journey, a chapter that will inform and shape my future decisions in the relentless financial markets.

A Day of Homecoming and Football Glory

After two intense days on deputation with a CBI case, I finally returned to my familiar branch, and it felt like a warm homecoming. Work didn't feel like a burden; instead, I relished every task. It was a stark reminder of how vital it is to pursue your passion and surround yourself with people who matter.

In the evening, I decided to make the most of this newfound energy and called up Vineet. Together, we headed to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to watch the much-anticipated clash between the Kerala Blasters Football Club and Minerva Punjab. The crowd exceeded all expectations, and the sea of yellow jerseys showed unwavering support for the Kerala team.
The atmosphere was electric, and as the game progressed, our excitement soared. In the second half, Kerala Blasters secured a thrilling victory, scoring a decisive penalty. The celebrations were wild, and the euphoria was infectious.
This day will be etched in my memory as a perfect blend of work satisfaction and a thrilling football match. It reminded me of the importance of balance, pursuing my passions, and cherishing every moment with those who make life special.

Unexpected Challenges and Memorable Moments...

The day began like any other, but it took an unexpected turn when I received a morning call from the HRM section, informing me that I had been temporarily assigned to the Stressed Assets Management Branch due to a CBI investigation related to foreign exchange. Although I was initially told it would only be for a two-day deputation, upon reviewing the investigation documents, it became apparent that this case wouldn't conclude anytime soon. It turned into a demanding day as I dedicated myself to poring over the investigation papers.
Later in the evening, I received a call from Vineet regarding a dinner gathering in Connaught Place (CP). I decided to leave the office and join them. Prashant, Sudheesh, Vineet, and I had a memorable outing together. Tomorrow, Prashant is embarking on a journey to Estonia, and I extend my heartfelt best wishes to him for this new chapter in his life.

You are what you are!

Its more than an year that I last blogged. I returned from Tandur in Jan 2018. I worked night shift in Accounts Section for a month. Then I got transferred to Circle office- investigation dept. I went to CBI regarding 2 investigation cases. In July, I transferred myself to Cannaught Place branch. I finally ended up in a job that I'm enjoying. The past year taught me that your will only can take you places, and its your will that decides your fate.

Last year, I worked in a difficult situation- it felt as if it was the lowest ebb that my life and the only place to go from there was to get up and going, to do what i like and want. In the coming few months I bought myself a mate in 70-200 2.8mm lens. Then I travelled new places. So much i enjoyed the exploration part that i'll really miss those moments in life. My trip of Bangalore, Mysore, Coorg was the journey of a lifetime. I returned back to Delhi. I became part of a group- Manjappada i.e. the Yellow army. I have also started to exercise daily. I bought myself a new car.

Week 1 in Tandur Hyderabad

my transfer from Delhi to Hyderabad happened in such a Cantor that even before I could realise what going on, I'd already a thousand miles away from home. This place is where I'll belong to the next three years. The place and staff are good. I got a good accommodation and a good company. There's a lot to learn, the years experience will really help me long way.
